Background
The International HIV/AIDS Alliance is an international non-governmental organisation (NGO) that supports communities in developing countries to play an effective role in the global response to AIDS. The Myanmar programme aims to make a contribution to HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support by strengthening the capacity of NGO/CBOs through technical support and grants.
Job Responsibilities
The IT Administrator will be responsible for managing the information technology systems at the Alliance. This involves provision of support for installation, maintenance and repair of all components of the computer systems including the hardware and software components. Of crucial importance is ensuring the security of the system both from external threats as well as prevention of loss of any data.
The IT Administrator will also provide support to build the capacity of the Alliance staff in use of the computer systems.
In addition to management of computer systems, the post holder will also provide support for the computer design and layout of publications produced by the Alliance.
Person specification
Essential
* Certificate in computing and networking, Knowledge of hardware and peripheral equipment, Knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques
* Excellent Burmese language; basic written and spoken English
Desirable
* Tertiary degree or diploma in computing
* Experience in graphics and editing software
Other Qualifications
Candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude to working with marginalised populations and people living with HIV.
